Vision Analytical
Replacement injection syringe for HPLC and GC autosamplers, 100 µL nominal volume. The barrel is glass and the plunger is stainless steel, so the wearing parts are the plunger seal and the needle tip rather than the body.
A syringe ages by injection count and sample matrix, not by calendar date. As the plunger seal wears, the drawn volume stops being repeatable and the first symptom in the data is falling peak-area precision, not an error message.
What a worn syringe looks like
- Peak-area %RSD rising across a sequence that used to pass.
- Air bubbles drawn on aspiration, giving short or missed injections.
- Carryover into the following injection from a scored needle tip.
- Sticking plunger after sitting in a buffer that was left to dry.
Needle length, gauge and tip style (blunt, bevelled or conical) differ between autosampler designs even when the volume is the same, so confirm those three against your instrument before ordering.
